John Steever, MD, is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital. He is one of the world’s leading experts in care for LGBTQ youth and has been quoted in The New York Times on issues facing trans adolescents and their families. He holds an MD from George Washington University, did his medical residency at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, and received a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine, also from the Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles.
John is equipped to advise healthcare institutions on communicating with doctors, patients, and patients' families. He is also available to discuss gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans identity issues as they relate to your clients, colleagues, and overall culture.
